Preschool Development Grant

Early Childhood Resources

The Preschool Development Grant provides families with resources that connect them with quality Early Childhood Care and Education services and that support the health, social, and emotional well-being of Nebraska's children.   It also offers assistance to Early Childhood care providers who need assistance building sustainable, quality programs.  

For Families

Nebraska Child Care Referral Network:  The purpose of the Nebraska Child Care Referral Network is to enable families to locate licensed child care providers in communities across the state. Providers include both family care and center-based care and are available for children from birth through age 12.

Learning Begins at Birth:  The Learning Begins at Birth Parent Guide is given to the parents of each child born in Nebraska to provide information on child development, child care, how children learn, children’s health, services available to children and parents, and any other relevant information. To access the guide (in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Arabic).

Gap Analysis Document:  An assessment of gap areas in skill development assigned to entry into kindergarten from preschool and those attained before the completion of kindergarten.
