Fostering Connection: A Cross-Border Dialogue

Wednesday, August 8, 2018
11:30 am2:30 pm
Magnolia Hotel - 1615 Howard St, Omaha

Nebraska Children and Families Foundation’s Connected Youth Initiative and the International Youth Foundation (IYF) invite you to Fostering Connection: A Cross-Border Dialogue. At this lunch and learn event on August 8th — the week of United Nation’s International Youth Day — you will hear from national and local partners, learn from young people and participate in a rich discussion about how applying local, national, and global insights can benefit youth in Nebraska and across the globe.

As part of (Re)Connecting Youth — an IYF initiative supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation — Doncel, a civil society organization supporting youth transitioning from foster care in Argentina and Nebraska Children participated in a learning exchange to share knowledge and insights of working with youth in care and explore how Doncel’s youth engagement approach could be adapted in Nebraska.

In addition to lunch, the agenda will include:
• Youth panel
• Celebration of impact results
• Moderated conversation with Doncel guests
• A discussion about what’s next for youth in Nebraska with innovative approaches such as LEAP, Think of Us, Youth Thrive™, and more

Please join us on August 8 to continue this productive dialogue.

Deadline to register is August 3.
