Changemakers - Youth Systems Summit
You're invited to join youth leaders from across the state, as well as those who work with and develop policies around youth in and aging out of foster care. This discussion will revolve around the state's systems serving Nebraska youth, and the outcomes that we're currently seeing. Training will be conducted by Sandra Gasca-Gonzalez of Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative, as well as Jennifer Skala, Jason Feldhaus and Amy West of Nebraska Children and Families Foundation.

Join Nebraska Children for a celebration of the heroes working to create positive change for kids in our state. The luncheon will feature Keynote Speaker Leigh Anne Tuohy, inspiration behind Sandra Bullock’s Oscar-winning performance in The Blind Side, who will speak about valuing the people who slip through the cracks of the society. She'll also discuss her experience adopting a homeless teenager, Michael Oher, who is now an NFL pro.
At the event, we will announce this year's Grace Abbott Award winner, who has championed the cause of children's welfare.
The luncheon will also feature the exhibition of the Forever Families photography exhibit, and poetry by Project Everlast youth.
