Roberta Pinkerton has dedicated her career to economic, community and leadership development in Nebraska.  She is currently working with 6 Regions One Nebraska – a partnership of Governor Pillen, the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the Nebraska Chamber.  This initiative is focused on providing regional solutions that can help transform our state.  Her career began at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development where she served as the field representative for 17 counties, followed by fifteen years working with the Omaha Public Power District.  Pinkerton left OPPD to assume the role of Executive Director of Leadership Nebraska, helping to develop strong leaders for the future.  She also served as the President of the Nebraska State Chamber Foundation. She is active with several statewide organizations including NEDA and the Nebraska 4-H Foundation. She achieved Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) status in 2000.
