Josh Jones is the Director of The Career Academy (TCA) in Lincoln, Nebraska, a position he has held since 2020. Before becoming director, he served as TCA's coordinator for three years. 

The Career Academy is a collaborative effort between Lincoln Public Schools and Southeast Community College, designed to offer high school juniors and seniors academic and real-world experiences through high school and dual credit courses across 16 different career pathways. 

Prior to his work at TCA, Jones was an assistant principal at Elliott Elementary School and a special education teacher at Lincoln Southeast High School. He also held various leadership positions with Aurora Public Schools in Colorado & New York City Public Schools before joining Lincoln Public Schools.  He has also written curriculum for after school programs focusing on career development. 

Jones earned his Educational Specialist degree from the University of Colorado at Denver, his Master of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education from Mercy College in New York City, and his Bachelor of Arts in Jewish History from The Ohio State University.
