Dr. Jon Cerny is a Superintendent at Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools in northeast Nebraska and is in his 32nd year as a Nebraska Superintendent. 

He was named Nebraska Career and Technical Education Outstanding Administrative Leader by the Nebraska Department of Education in 2024, and the Outstanding Career and Technical Administrator of the Year by the Association for Career and Technical Education of Nebraska in 2019.

In 2015, Dr. Cerny received the Terrell Bell Award from the United States Department of Education for outstanding leadership. 

In 2013 he received the Outstanding Superintendent Award from the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association.
