 pporeit:</b>\nBrooke Schipporeit is a Housing Advocacy Organizer at the Na
 tional Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) where she mobilizes partners o
 n federal policy advocacy and other organizing efforts in support of socia
 lly just affordable housing policy. Before joining NLIHC\, Brooke spent ti
 me in Philadelphia supporting state and local coalitions in their efforts 
 to advance solutions to housing poverty. Specifically\, she worked as an M
 SW intern with the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania and as Philadelphia’s 
 Regional Housing Coordinator for the Self-Determination Housing Project of
  Pennsylvania. Prior to beginning her career in affordable housing advocac
 y\, Brooke worked in direct services in her home state of Nebraska for bot
 h the Head Start program and a domestic violence shelter. Brooke earned he
 r Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Nebraska Wesleyan University and
  her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.  \n \n<b>T
 ai Coates</b>\nTaí Coates is the Campaign Media Manager for the National H
 ousing Trust (NHT) and works directly on video production for “Where Will 
 We Live\,” a grassroots advocacy campaign designed to capture and amplify 
 the narratives of affordable housing residents\, property staff\, and comm
 unity members in key states across the country. We are learning from their
  stories—their background\, experiences\, struggles\, goals and values—and
  with these videos\, we are able to share and highlight the impact that st
 able housing has made in their journey with policymakers\, community membe
 rs and local constituents.\n \nPrior to joining NHT\, she specialized in s
 trategic digital communications in public affairs\, and executed the creat
 ive strategies behind advocacy campaigns for a variety of public- and priv
 ate sector clients. Miss Coates graduated from the University of Maryland 
 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.\n\n<i>This event is brought to y
 ou by Nebraska Housing Advocacy Collaborative\, Nebraska Housing Developer
 s Association\, and Nebraska Children and Families Foundation's Connected 
 Youth Initiative.</i>
