ow we can all play a role in making our state a better place for families.
\n\nWhat role can business leaders play?\nAt first\, the idea of bu
sinesses playing a role in raising healthy\, stable children seems counter
intuitive. But when you consider that many working adults spend the majori
ty of their waking hours at their place of employment\, it becomes clear t
hat employers have a powerful impact on the quality of life of their emplo
yees. And employees with healthy\, stable homes have fewer sick days and a
re more productive at work. As a business owner or manager\, you have a lo
t of say in whether your practices positively influence the family lives o
f your employees.
