ers</b>\nDr. Mark Hald is a Licensed Psychologist who has focused his life
’s work around helping families with young children with an emphasisin wo
rking with children under the age of five. He is a founding member of the
Nebraska Association of Infant Mental Health and the current board preside
nt\, a registered Play Therapy supervisor\, a nationally certified School
 Psychologist\, a Circle of Security facilitator\, a Reflective Supervision
Consultant and a Child-Parent Psychotherapy trainer for the State of Nebr
aska. In addition\, Dr. Hald is an internationally known speaker on Earl
y Childhood Mental Health. We are fortunate to have him join us to talk ab
out infant mental health. This workshop will provide a brief overview of i
nfant toddler early childhood mental health. It will help the participant
understand and support secure care-giver/parent child relationships child
relationships. 50 years of research has demonstrated that secure attachme
nt/good mental health allows children to think clearly\, develop socially\
, learn new skills\, enjoy more happiness with their parents\, solve probl
ems with friends\, feel less anger at their parents\, build self-esteem\,
and develop a positive mental outlook etc. Yet\, fostering a child’s menta
l and emotional needs of children may not be as obvious as physical health
needs. Knowing how to support the right conditions for secure attachment
relationship is a part of each of us when we know how to see and support w
hat is actually hidden in plain sight.\n\nDr. Sam Meisels is one of the na
tion’s leading authorities on the assessment of young children and early c

culty member at Tufts University for eight years and director of the Eliot
-Pearson Children’s School at Tufts. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the
University of Rochester and received his Master’s and Doctoral degrees fr
om the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He will be joining our confer
ence to discuss how early care and education can launch children on a posi
tive trajectory in life\, emphasizing that interactions between children a
nd their caregivers are the primary engine of change in early childhood.\n
\nKatherine Brockman is founder of Meditation for Everyone whose mission i
s to make meditation accessible to the masses and allow each individual to
glean from mediation what he or she needs most. In 2012\, Katherine added

providers from Early Head Start\, N-MIECHV\, and Sixpence will provide us
with insight in their participation in home visiting\, the benefits for th
eir own families\, and to tell about their personal experiences. Their hom
e visitors will be joining them to discuss the coordination of services an
