Kyle is the Superintendent of Crete Public Schools who received his degree from UNL. Crete’s school system has built a reputation of excellence in academics and in sports, and now has a growing reputation of serving a diverse community through education and outreach. Nearly 2,000 preschool through 12th grade students are enrolled in the system. 40 percent of them are minorities and 99 percent of that group is Hispanic. This mix gives Kyle a profound understanding of the changing landscape in rural communities. He learns the newest communication technologies so he can reach young people effectively on that platforms that they’re using. The concept of change drives him and he is a strong supporter of Nebraska Children’s early childhood and afterschool programs.
