I don't want to use up a testing kit that might help someone that is showing sugns. 00:39:03 Gary Harpster: Thank you 00:39:12 Judi Sickler: How fast are results returned? 00:39:25 Darniece Amos DHHS: I have been getting the same emails, but have been tested. How do I let them know? 00:39:31 Heartland United Way: I was tested and receive a follow-up survey each week. Could something like this be done so people at the test site could download to a smart phone and play for people with questions. Maybe this could be used in place of interpreters? 00:53:06 Leonor Fuhrer: Great work everyone!! Fantastic news!! 00:53:18 Joanna Murray: That is truly wonderful! 00:53:42 LeaAnn-NCFF Consultant: What a phenomenal example of true Parntership! Leave a message and someone will call back. 00:58:38 Sara Riffel: Hi everyone! We have an opportunity for Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg (creator of Reaching Teens and parenting books/resources supported by American Academy of Pediatrics) to provide a "parenting talk" on building resiliency during uncertain times. Many of you participated in Dr. Ginsburg's 2-day workshop in Omaha in September and/or have used the Reaching Teens toolkit. He has offered this talk if there are parents interested in such a virtual discussion during an evening in June. If there's interest, we will schedule this statewide for parents (parents could receive a stipend for participating). You can include your thoughts in chat here or email me at sriffel@nebraskachildren.org if you feel this would benefit parents in your community. Thanks! 01:02:01 Rachel Meier: Is anyone still seeing a need for infant supplies --- diapers, wipes, formula? 01:03:35 JoAnn Gieselman Growing Comm Connections: I haven't had any request recently but PPE supplies like thermometers and gloves....are more of a request for ECH professional 01:03:44 Sandy Nation: Dakota County has seen one or two requests but that's about it. 01:05:20 LeaAnn-NCFF Consultant: Suggestion only.... Many chamber offices and or economic development offices have been given guidance to support business' in this process. It could be useful for non-profits to partner with these folks around re-opening guidance. Not reinvent the wheel, but tweak to fit your organizational needs. 01:05:21 Rachel Meier: The infant supplies question is regarding both early childhood providers and individual families and access to products in grocery stores. 01:05:24 Tana Miller: We also still have needs for PPE for our early childhood professionals. haven't heard much about diapers, wipes. 01:06:48 Collena: Yes, diapers are an on-going need diapers and wipes with our CYI young parents in southeast NE. Diapers/wipes are available, but not affordable for these young parents. We had assisted with this need via the Center for People in Need in the past. They rarely have these suppies now. 01:09:57 Sara Riffel: As a follow-up to last week's discussion about the impact of COVID-19 on sex and labor trafficking, here is a link to a factsheet about the impact and consequences of COVID-19 and the increase of risk. Please share! 01:10:00 Sara Riffel: https://www.nctsn.org/resources/the-impact-of-covid-19-on-child-sex-and-labor-trafficking 01:10:53 TBichlmeier: Thank you!!! 01:11:27 Susanne Shore: About TestNebraska translating information. I know that at least one collaborative has translated some TestNebraska info into different languages. If you have anything, could you send to me so we don’t reinvent any wheels. Thank you! 01:11:43 Emily Kluver: http://dhhs.ne.gov/Documents/COVID-19-Guidance-on-Child-Family-and-Facility-Contact.pdf 01:17:57 LeaAnn-NCFF Consultant: And Fremont accomplished this in the pouring rain!!!! 01:28:29 gay mctate: is there a time frame within which the CARES funding needs to be spent? 01:31:14 Cathy: I need to hop off to a phone call, but here is an update for the Sandhills area. Thank you so much for the great news today!! We were slow to see the effects of Covid-19, but have definitely arrived now! We have been hit hard with requests for housing and utility assistance. Also, our bilingual navigator has opened the door to our Spanish speaking families and we have had many referrals from these families. Our goal is now to connect Monica with resources and people to help her in her new role. We will be doing virtual meetings and phone referrals probably through June. A testing in Broken Bow this weekend was encouraging - 168 tests were given with only one positive. PPE for those going out into the community is a concern. 01:48:33 P4OC Nebraska City: Diapers and Wipes are needed in the SE corner of NE. Growing Great Kids have families in Richardson and Johnson counties in need. 01:49:10 Jacki Trujillo: Nebraska’ s Hands and Feet is a great resource for masks for community members etc.... they are on facebook 01:49:19 Elci Warnell: sorry, I forgot to mention we are seeing a need for face masks for local food pantries where families are utilizing the pantry because they don't have a mask of their own. We're working with them to get those. Also some of the school districts are opening up their child care starting in June. 01:49:56 Susanne Shore: Elci - I have a ton that have been donated. I’ll contact you. 01:50:11 Elci Warnell: Thank you :)
