We also have a United Way agency that can help with utilities and have another non-profit that also assist so we could refer on (in Columbus). 01:07:25 Mary Pinker: Tammy, if we did a simple referral into Central Navigation in each area, that Navigator could help the person get where they needed to go based on need and services available? 01:07:30 TBichlmeier: Columbus area utilizes 211 01:07:58 Sandy Nation: The City of South Sioux City utilities will refer households with children to Community Response. They will also take an email of guarantee from me and reconnect or stop a disconnect. 01:09:27 Caroline Sabin: Our utility company frequently refers families to Community Response. We have good working relationship with them. 01:18:14 Sandy Nation: We have worked with NENCAP to provide rent and utility assistance. If a family does not qualify for assistance through NENCAP due to income or legal status, they will refer to us. Or if a family's need is more than NENCAP or CR can provide, we will each pay half. 01:23:30 Lisa Janssen Community Action : I refer many CR families to our Emergency Services program which has the utility and rent assistance. As a Community Action employee I have knowledge of best times to call for help and what to have prepared. I've been doing this from the start so it's nothing really different at this time. Families do appreciate having info on time to call and what too prepare. Works great and if they aren't eligible, CR can often help. 01:24:50 Sandy Nation: Usually we do some follow-up with NENCAP to see how families are doing or they follow-up with us. 01:30:02 Heartland United Way: Thank you for your great support! Karen Rathke, Heartland United Way 01:31:00 Jessica McGinley - Valentine: where do we find survey? just for each community to fill out once? so just us on this call do the survey? 01:31:54 Tanya: Rachel, I love that idea!! 01:32:05 shelly witt: Regarding the waiver of Medicaid co-pays - the technology may not be in place immediately and when it is billed, it may show a co-pay due. Medicaid is working with providers on this and should know not to charge the Medicaid recipient. 01:32:42 Susanne Shore: Please feel free to use and share as you like. Especially in this time based on the need to "think outside of the box", and address the barriers that might be ongoing, and after COVID-19 passes. 01:40:35 Interim Rector: Caroline - Yes … this is Mary Hendricks and I had to develop simple instruction for parishioners.
