CR 00:40:12 Denise Zwiener: I love this conversation, as these are the questions we have been struggling with in Buffalo County, too. We have existing groups who are doing great work and discuss needs and strategies at each meeting. I love that we are not the only ones trying to figure out how to connect people who are doing the work, while assessing for the future. We are new to this, however, I see the challenges of those who have been in this work for some time in our community too. Lots of new people to the tables due to COVID-19. Are there innovative ways we can take the survey array to an electronic/social media level to gain community involvement, especially when we need to recognize that many groups area already working on some of the array defined gaps? 00:49:00 Denise Zwiener: Thank you JoAnn. I have been using this more during COVID-19. "We have set this table to discuss...." 00:49:45 Sandy Nation: The advantage of the smaller break-out groups is that everyone gets the opportunity to speak and contribute. I think it makes people feel more valued. 00:49:58 JoAnn Gieselman Growing Comm Connections: Denise I love that idea! Thank you so much for sharing the idea with us!! 00:54:40 Denise Zwiener: We have had several conversations with Kelly/NAM to host a satellite office in Kearney, where we share a staff person to help build non-profit capacity in central NE. I think they are also talking with GI/Hall. COVID19 hit and we have not got back to it. 00:55:43 Denise Zwiener: NAM is the foundation for non-profits. We love NAM. 00:55:53 Sarah Papa: CFP just became a NAM member — they are FANTASTIC! I think it would be absolutely beneficial to have them speak to this group 00:56:41 Collena : I would love to learn more about how others are utilizing NAM. I also would appreciate having NAM come speak to the group. 00:57:08 Sarah Papa: So many resources I had no idea about, I have been made aware of. The “technical assistance” is so helpful. 00:57:29 P4OC Nebraska City: Overview of services would be great! 00:57:38 Pamela's iPhone: we just became members at CFC. still learning about services they provide. it would be great to have a presentation. 01:08:14 Chandra Essex: I agree with Sarah 01:08:22 Julie Nash: I agree with Sarah 01:08:38 Sarah Papa: Thank you for the great conversation! I have to jump to another meeting. 01:13:24 Denise Zwiener: We always learn more from NAM! Would love to hear from Kelly. (late to this question...LOL) 01:14:45 Denise Zwiener: Emerging piece.... are other communities talking about NeHii roll out of United Nebraska. Would that be a good presentation for this group in the future? 01:19:17 Denise Zwiener: I do think that would be a great resource for us Jenny, thank you so much! 01:20:45 JoAnn Gieselman Growing Comm Connections: I agree with Denise this could be a great resource! 01:21:42 Denise Zwiener: In Buffalo County we have only one CPA firm who will do our annual audit, so many new protocols have be put into play all our other CPA's in our county have stepped away. Hard to secure bids from a variety of CPA's for proposals. We have been with same firm for 6-9 years. We like to keep moving around as new CPA's ask new questions we have not thought about... 01:21:59 Denise Zwiener: I meant to say non-profit audits 01:23:24 Julie Nash: @Denise, we just did an RFP for our audit and only received 3 bids back. 01:24:42 Denise Zwiener: We begged your Grand Island firm to bid and they come in much higher than our only BC firm. It was hard for our board to say they would hire a firm outside of BC/Kearney as we say we keep our funding local. But we will be very willing to work with other central NE auditors. 01:24:53 Cathy Minnick: I am here….BB would be limited 01:33:02 JoAnn Gieselman Growing Comm Connections: This is very exciting again! Our Siouxland Community Health Center actually brought this to GCC and asked if we could bring partners to be part of the system! For the very reason Denise is giving! 01:33:23 TBichlmeier: Hi - this is Tammy and in Columbus, we have a couple of agencies using Service Point and wanted several organizations to use it, but just couldn't get enough others in the community to make it really useful. We now use QuickBase and would like a case management system for at least CR Coaches could use. It would be great if we could at least track what our CR clients are utilizing, but it could be somewhat unrealistic to think our small non-profits will have the ability to put info. into a community-wide system 01:33:48 Denise Zwiener: Thank you so much, Mary!!! 01:34:10 Julie Nash: I appreciate the great conversation, I will be jumping off for another call at 11:30am. 01:34:39 Denise Zwiener: Same here in BC, agree with Faith! 01:35:10 Denise Zwiener: Our community connections group does the updates monthly 01:37:35 Denise Zwiener: We asked 211 if they would do that for us and they said no. 01:37:50 Denise Zwiener: Mainly because they want that service provider to approve that entry 01:38:03 Denise Zwiener: Would love to revisit again... 01:38:19 Cathy Minnick: Thank you for the great information today! I have to get on another call right now. 01:38:47 Denise Zwiener: We offered to ask all everyone on our resource list if it was okay to share, 211 said they would need to do all those calls. 01:40:03 Denise Zwiener: We have started working with MyLNK and hope to have that tool up by fall. It is available when you don't have internet and several languages. It is a nice fit for what we need today. 01:40:50 Denise Zwiener: It would be great to have 211 talk with us, they are funded legislatively to do this work. 01:42:36 Caroline Sabin: Does anyone know of a source for devices to use for Telehealth? We are running into more demand than supply. 01:42:51 Denise Zwiener: Motherboard! 01:43:20 Caroline Sabin: Thanks! 01:43:32 Denise Zwiener: We are working with UW to do backpack and they are giving to students on free and reduced 01:44:09 Sandy Nation: Thank you!
