J. Eric Buchanan
Immediate Past Chair
Eric is the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the University of Nebraska Foundation. In that capacity, he leads a team of professionals whose fundraising efforts are focused on securing private gifts from foundations and corporations in Nebraska and nationwide in support of the University of Nebraska. In addition to his work with NCFF, he serves on the Board of the Clyde Malone Community Center and is a volunteer advisor for the Center for Rural Affairs.
Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Eric came to UNL on a football scholarship and earned a BS in English Literature along the way. Eric has been married to his lovely wife Nikki since 1998 and together they enjoy spending time with their two sons, Jack and Davis.
A resident of Lincoln, Eric has served on the Foundation board since 2005.
