Dr. Helen H. Raikes
Helen is a Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, teaching in Child, Youth and Family Studies. She is on state and national advisory boards including the Nebraska Early Childhood Endowment Board of Directors, the Babyfaces Early Head Start National Technical Working Group and the National Center on the Developing Child National Evaluation Forum.
Helen earned her Bachelors Degree at Iowa State University, her Masters at the University of California-Davis and her PhD at Iowa State University. She was married for 42 years to the late Ron Raikes, former Nebraska State Senator and Manager of Raikes Foundation Farms.
A resident of Lincoln, Helen has served on the Foundation board since 2002.
