Kyle is now working with Nebraska Public School Advantage after recently retiring after 35 years in education, including the past 10 years as the Superintendent of Crete Public Schools. The Crete school system has built a reputation of excellence in academics and in sports, and now has a growing reputation of serving a diverse community through education and outreach. Nearly 2000 preschool through 12th grade students, as well as an aggressive adult education system, are sponsored by the school district. The demographics of the Crete community have changed dramatically over the past 15 years, i.e., 55% minorities, 25% of the students have limited English speaking skills. The changes gives Kyle a profound understanding of the shifting landscape taking place in many rural communities. Crete Schools believes in reaching out and supporting the whole family with many preventative programs such as early childhood services, after school programs, adult education and others . The concept of change drives Kyle and he is a strong supporter of Nebraska Children’s mission.
