Prevention Partnerships and Projects

Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and Nebraska Child Abuse Prevention Fund Board joined forces in 2006 to streamline human and financial resources directed toward the reduction of child maltreatment in Nebraska.

The Nebraska Statewide Child Abuse Prevention Partnership guides statewide child abuse prevention planning; public awareness and education; and the distribution and monitoring of community-based prevention grants.

The Child Abuse Prevention Plan strives to achieve a 20 percent reduction in child maltreatment in Nebraska by the year 2020.

The plan has been designed to educate an audience not limited to just social services professionals, but every citizen. All Nebraskans have a real stake in the safety and healthy cultivation of our children.
