Ideas on incorporating connection into meetings:

  • Icebreakers, Teaming Building and Debrief activities- Wyman’s Teen Outreach Program.
  • 7 Quick and Easy Icebreakers- Project Everlast
  • Building your house activity
  • Family shoebox activity
  • Icebreaker for individual and team core values
  • Personality/team building training such as True Colors (many local UNL extension offices will facilitate this for you)

Ideas outside of meetings:

  • Ropes course (team building activity) at a local camp
  • Summer event at a lake or park- learn how to kayak/canoe or learn a new skill
  • Volunteer service in community

  • Everyday Leadership - a guidebook for teens by Mariam G. MacGregor. Includes 21 sessions. Each participant would receive a workbook.  $10/book
  • Growing Leaders: Habitudes- Each of these is a 1 year subscription.  Everything is digital, no books needed. Example: Each series builds on one another. Focus on 1 Habitude series at a time. When finished, purchase the next one.
     
  • Step 1: Habitudes for Character Education- equips young people to take the first step in their leadership journey by learning how to lead themselves well.
