Community Well-Being Data

A new interactive information tool, the Nebraska Community Opportunity Map, is now live to the public, ensuring that policymakers and other stakeholders will have centralized, easy-to-navigate access to data that’s vital to their work. Specifically, this free resource is designed to increase access to information about communities, especially data relevant to the well-being of Nebraska’s children and families. The ultimate goal is to give policymakers and other stakeholders another tool for making data-informed decisions about resource allocation, service delivery, emergency planning, city planning, and other vital functions.

Nebraska Children's investments in Adams County

Nebraska Children has a variety of active investments in Adams County, including our support of the Hastings Child Abuse Prevention Council serving Adams, Clay, Nuckolls and Webster Counties. Current investments include:

  • Permanent Relationships for Older Youth, Hastings
  • CASA of South Central Nebraska
  • We CAN Families (Adams, Clay, Nuckolls and Webster Counties)
  • Good Beginnings Advisory Board (Adams, Clay, Nuckolls and Webster Counties)

Nebraska Children also adminsters funds and provides all technical assistance for the Sixpence Early Learning Program through Hastings Public Schools. This initiative serves at-risk babies and toddlers through a family engagement home visiting program using the Parents as Teachers curriculum. This program partners with various entities throughout their District. The District and the Community have matched the funds provided through the grant. Sixpence awarded this grant to Hastings Public Schools in July of 2015
